Who are we? We are BigHammerWines.com, an online wine retailer based in California that operates a unique direct import and distribution company. By cutting out the middleman, we are able to offer you more affordable prices. One of our founders is a winemaker who possesses a distinctive skill set for identifying both flaws and greatness in wine. With over 20 years of experience in all aspects of the wine industry, we have done it all. Today, we are leveraging our expertise to ensure that we bring you the best wines.

How do we select and offer wines for sale? We exclusively deal with fine wines; it is our area of expertise and passion. Our selection process is highly discerning, as only 4% out of the 4,500 wines we taste each year meet our standards. We operate on a direct-to-consumer model that allows us to offer pricing similar to wholesale rates. In fact, our prices are so competitive that our suppliers often request that we keep them hidden from Google and Wine-searcher. We send you email and text offers based on your wine preferences, whether it's red, white, sweet, or a daily or weekly indulgence. We do not trade in private label, white label, or control branded wines that use inflated suggested retail prices (SRPs). Additionally, we do not pay for ratings or reviews from sommeliers.
